Networking
SIYI hardware can be used directly as a communication/data link instead of WiFi if the hardware has LAN output.
Tested with: Air Unit and MK32 ground station (do not connect MK15 ground station - will burn your LAN port!). We succesfully connected NUC to a NTB in the LAN network through pairs of (Air Unit + NUC) and (MK32 + NTB). Connection diagram here.
Data bandwidth test between NUC and NTB, while also streaming RGB+T data from SIYI ZT6 (the number specifies the available BW for transmission measured with iperf3 - larger is better):
In the office
- 8km FPV low latency flight mode:
- HD stream
- RGB+T: 2.8 Mb/s
- RGB: 3.1 Mb/s
- Off: 4.1 Mb/s
- Full HD stream
- RGB+T = 3.5 Mb/s
- RGB: 2.9 Mb/s
- RGB+T as a single stream: 3.6 Mb/s
- Off: 3.9 Mb/s
- HD stream
- 5km FPV low latency flight mode:
- Stream off: 4.7 Mb/s
- 15km GCS flight mode:
- Stream off: 3.2 Mb/s
- 24km GCS flight mode:
- Stream off: 2.1 Mb/s
Around the F4F building (Air Unit stays in the office, MK32 moves)
- 8km FPV low latency flight mode
- 2nd floor: 2.6 Mb/s, ping 3 ms
- entrance: 1.9 Mb/s, ping 3 ms
- coffee house: 3.4 Mb/s, ping 3.5 ms
