Get Started Quickly

This guide is intended to give you an easy flow through basic steps to setup your environment. You'll start with Git setup, then ROS2 and MRS UAV System installation. Once you're done, you'll have everything you need to start developing.

System Requirements

You should have a computer with Ubuntu 24.04 installed. You may also occasionally need Windows or the older Ubuntu 20.04 for ROS1 projects. If this is the case, please configure your PC for dual or triple boot.

• Installation Media: You can find a bootable flash drive with the Ubuntu OS in the main hardware room. It is labeled VENTOY and attached to a large, red 3D-printed handle.
• Windows Licenses: Ask our back-office for instructions on how to obtain a Windows key.
